nipple malfunction to go to Supreme Court
Monday, November 24th, 2008
This incident happened at the super bowl in 2004, now the US government has asked the Supreme Court to reimpose the $500,000 fine that was earlier dropped. Justin Timberlake has publicly apoligized for this incident several years ago. Janet Jackson has always said it was a “wardrobe malfunction,” amid criticism from some quarters that it looked every bit as carefully choreographed as their routine, watched by 90 million viewers at home. After a three-year court fight, a federal court in Philadelphia in July ruled that the network could not be held responsible for Janet Jackson’s actions. Now the US government wants to reimpose the fine. This is just adding fuel to a long publicty event that is only benefiting Janet Jackson’s career and Justin Timberlake. It is up to the Supreme Court to decide whether it will consider the request.
