The Just Dance hitmaker refused to let the incident halt the gig, straightening up her hat and carrying on her routine until the end of the concert.

The Edge on Edge in Malibu?

The Edge 1 by danny.hammontree.

The Malibu area has been buzzing since a video was added to The Edge’s website in the last several weeks, perhaps in anticipation of an upcoming California Coastal Commission hearing on the proposal. Against a  track of New Age music, with birds tweeting in the background, fawning proponents of The Edge’s plans praise the Malibu project. His supporters include Bonny Reiss, Gov. Schwarzenegger’s former senior advisor, and, more surprisingly, Mark Massara, head of the Sierra Club’s Great Coastal Places Campaign.
“It’s going to take those visionary leaders being associated with projects like these, that are going to show how to make the California coastline a model of sustainability,” Massara says on the video, in which he all but encourages the Coastal Commission to embrace the proposal. Clearly The Edge is lining up all the political muscle and environmentalist star power he possibly can. The Edge even got a well connected PR and lobbying firm California Strategies backing him up.

Prince William backs World Cup bid by Downing Street.

“I cannot, after one night, even begin to imagine what it must be like to sleep rough on London’s streets night after night,” Prince William said Tuesday. “Poverty, mental illness, drug and alcohol dependency and family breakdown cause people to become and then stay homeless in London’s streets.” ” I hope that by deepening my understanding of the issue, I can help do my bit to help the most vulnerable on our streets.” Said Prince William, second in line to the throne, was exposed to some of the hardships found on London’s streets when his mother, Princess Diana, took him to a shelter in 1996. Just 13 at the time, Prince William spent an hour at the facility with his younger brother, Harry.

Angelina Jolie by allexis1.

In Hollywood Female actresses make a lot less then Male actors below is the Top Seven Actresses Income.

Angelina Jolie
The reigning boxoffice queen,Angelina Jolie earned a mid $40 million payday, all in, from “Wanted, and her name on the marquee meant that “Changeling” more than doubled its domestic gross overseas. As a result, she’s the one actress still commanding top dollar  as much as $20 million plus a percentage for Angelina Jolie next two high octane projects: the dramatic thrillers “Salt” and “The Tourist.”

Julia Roberts
For the twisty romantic spy tale “Duplicity,” Roberts commanded more than $15 million but the movie came up short, grossing $40 million domestically. To enable her passion project, “Eat, Pray, Love,” she’s taking a far lower salary, well below $10 million.

Katherine Heigl
On the small screen, Heigl narrowly survived brain surgery on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” but on the big screen her career is healthier than ever. Even before “The Ugly Truth” was released in July, the actress was able to command $12 million each for the action romance “Five Killers” and the more domesticated romance “Life as We Know It.”

Cameron Diaz
While her ongoing participation as the voice of Princess Fiona in the “Shrek” movies guarantees her a nice annuity, Diaz’s regular fee settled around the $10 million mark for 2008’s comedy “What Happens in Vegas” and 2010’s “Knight & Day.”

Reese Witherspoon
Witherspoon reestablished her comedy cred with last year’s “Four Christmases,” for which she unwrapped around $15 million. For her next picture, James L. Brooks’ untitled sports tale, she’s playing in a similar ballpark.

Jennifer Aniston
For sharing screen time with an unruly yellow lab in the holiday hit “Marley & Me,” Aniston picked up a $7 million $8 million fee.

Kate Hudson
Squaring off against Anne Hathaway in “Bride Wars,” Hudson earned around $7 million. Joining the ensemble “Nine” and the upcoming indie drama “The Killer Inside Me” meant taking cuts.

“Avatar” be like the “Titanic”?

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Avatar by Izzy fizzy.

James Cameron said “Avatar” the movie, set in the future on an alien planet being pillaged by humans for natural resources, deals with how indigenous people are treated by newcomers. “There’s just this long, wonderful history of the human race written in blood going back as far as we can remember, where we have this tendency to just take what we want without asking,” he said.  “There’s a sense of entitlement  we’re here, we’re big, we’ve got the guns, we’ve got the technology, we’ve got the brains, we therefore are entitled to every damn thing on this planet,” said James Cameron, describing the attitude of humans in “Avatar” the movie. ” James Cameron conceived the story for “Avatar” in 1995 then waited a decade for technology to catch up so he could film it.  “Avatar” mixes live action and computer animation to create an eye poppingly vivid alien world.

When asked by MTV.com about a possible ”Entourage” film, Executive Producer Mark Wahlberg said, “Quite possibly, yes. We still have a couple more seasons to do, but yeah. We’d like to follow in the ”Sex and the City footsteps and do a movie.” “People have always complained that Entourage episodes are too short,” he revealed. “And that the seasons aren’t long enough, and they want more.” Mark Wahlberg also said he’d like the Entourage movie to be “like ‘The Hangover times ten.” If the film goes ahead it won’t be the first recent TV hit to be adapted into a movie  a “Sex and the City” picture hit cinemas last year.
